Surroundings
The holiday cottage Mas la Font is located
approximately 15 km from Vic, next to Vilanova de Sau, a small
village in Osona, halfway between the Mediterranean Sea and
the Pyrenees. It is situated in the Ter river valley, between
Sau and Collsacabra, surrounded by a mountainous landscape with
cliffs
Moreover, it has wonderful views of the natural parks of Montseny
and Guilleries-Savassona.
Near the cottage you can visit the Sau reservoir, where you
can participate in many activities such as water skiing, kayaking,
horse-riding, trekking… and from where you can take several
routes that will lead you to typical Catalan villages such as
Rupit and Tavertet.
Vic, the capital of Osona, offers us its famous Market every
Tuesday and Saturday, the most popular in the region for its
diversity and quantity of stands.
Culturally, the existence of archaeological remains, interesting
signs of Romanesque constructions and several other constructions
from the XVI and XVII centuries add attractiveness to Osona.
As for gastronomy, there are many places in Vilanova de Sau
and in the surrounding villages where you can enjoy the Catalan
